It would be remiss of me  not to post an Ama Kip Kip shot. For those that don’t know it means multi coloured popcorn and you can buy one from The Zone in Rosebank, Joburg (in front of YFM).

My first contribution from Sheffield courtesy of mischievous design imps at Ded. Perfect for recreating a hipster version of the “i’m spartacus” scene from Spartacus in your nearest style bar. Get yours here: www.i’mbanksy.com

This is another one of mine and my current favourite. Its actually about seven years old and i’d left it tucked away in a bottom draw at mum’s place in Wales. A real gem. It goes down particularly well at fashion weeks and other assorted fashion events. I bought originally at Magma (a design store in London).

From The Frock Report

Dear neglected Tee Shirt blog here are two images from The Frock Report. One day when you have a paid editorial staff of twenty and servers groaning under t-shirt posts we will look back on these lean days and laugh…

“Here is Rob McKay’s t- shirt by the now defunct label Abraham and Louisa since Suzaan Heyns went solo.”

“And Simon Shear’s Tshirt which he made himself – and in his own words “I know that the nu- rave aesthetic is pretty tired globally , but I like the idea of self realised lo-fi production, and I think that this look can be invigorating on the local scene – it is still boundary pushing – the ironic reclaiming of garishness – there is also a celebration of colour and the idea of the appropriation of South African symbols but that are not cultural artifacts but are still cultural signifiers – and I liked the word nu South Africa.”

This girl was the only one to ask for a re-shoot (except for me) at Matjiesfontein. These are uh trolls I guess.
